Description
Way back at the start of the industrial revolution, there was a curious moment when the old and the new collided. Advertisements showcasing the wonders of new technology borrowed design elements that people found appealing from the previous era. We ended up with images of printing presses, sewing machines, tractors, and locomotives surrounded by flowers and decorative patterns, as if these machines were our new queens and kings. We find ourselves in a similar era of transition now. As technologies shift rapidly around us, we hold on to the past. We use the visual language we're familiar with to express the beauty of what’s to come. This artwork is a nod to a previous era of technological innovation and change. Here, we see the “Pepius Productiva Florentia” blossoming from the rich soil seeded by cryptocurrencies—currencies that laid a foundation for many of us to step into this new world and flourish.
